Room In The Roof Insulation RIRI
Room-in-the-Roof insulation is for homes where the loft space has been converted into a livable room. These rooms are particularly vulnerable to heat loss due to exposed roof surfaces.
Installation Process:
Sloped ceilings are insulated with rigid foam boards or mineral wool between and over rafters.
Vertical walls (dormers or gable walls) and flat ceilings are also insulated.
A vapour control layer is added to prevent condensation.
